I have been busy for the last two days trying to finalize a product rollout for a meeting in the next week ... we decided that we wanted to have a free standing website to highlight our product and not dilute the offering on main site ... enter an app that I investigated a while ago and have gone back to for implementation of this plan ...
Five Across has generated an amazing application that can be used for as simple a use as a blog, a quick and dirty website, or a full fledged web presence with work at the html level. Generation is done through the download of a publisher which is very simple and straightfoward and the set up of an account so your can publish your site ... take a look at the Bubbler site for examples and instruction. Several quick advantages are obvious, especially the ease of which to generate complete and well formatted sites. One big thing that I have not played with but is a prominent feature is the ability to podcast and multimedia broadcast from the generated site ... will play when I have the time, maybe some of you can try this and reply on the comments later.
I have several sites that must be made over the next few days, but here is the first run at our site to publicize our new water filter ... one tip when doing this, figure your layout first knowing that like a blog, the most recent entry is on top ... so that means building your notes (page content) from the bottom up .... another good free app ... we will be signing up for the paid service so we can do more of these with our other partners ....
