Musings from Borders ...

Lately I have been using our Borders Cafe as my mobile office ... use the tmobile hotspot to hook up and relax with a java and bagel most days ... normally a pleasant working atmosphere, only downside is the constant attention to the tablet ... today I explained how I used it to a guy that complained that he had a Logitch IO pen and loved it until they would not replace a broken unit, so much for the pen ... I showed him my 18 pages of handwritten notes that were annotated in colors and highlighters and he really was then planning on how he was going to buy one ...

I have just gotten the two programs from Franklin Covey, both the outlook program and the windows program ... I was using TEO with the Outlook and that still works nicely, and I was using the Agilix GoBinder 2005 until I noticed that the Plan Plus for Windows is basically the same thing with enhancements to match the FC stuff ... I am migrating to using the FC compass and process so I decided to get both and work with it ... I use the gobinder (now Plan Plus) for notetaking as it seems to be ideal for that (I was able to export all my gobinder notes easily into the new software, thank goodness as I had a ton of notes) ...

I also use OneNote, but find that printing is problematic, you just cannot tell where the page break will come and that really bothers me, so I keep with the gobinder platform ... enough rambling for today ... more to follow ....

Goings on ...

Here is a repository for thoughts on being a tablet user and how it came to be ...
